Coach "Bill" Dennison

Bill is the best coach I have ever had for any sport. He truly puts the team first, often running 10+ milers with us when he has a race the next day.  Any coach can tell you how to run your race, but I'd bet less than 1% of them can run it with you.  That's why he's led a priorly struggling team to 3 consecutive state meets in cross country.

 Me (Jake)

I don't really need to go into detail about myself, because I feel you all can figure me out just by reading about my runs and what I write about the others on my team. My pr's are 16:35 in the 5k, 9:59.5 in the 3200, 4:37 in the 1600, and 2:03 in the 800.

Ben

Ben is an awesome runner.  He has some serious credentials, a 16:14 5k, 10:09 3200, 4:36 1600, and 2:04 800.  He really helps me stay focused and I hope this upcoming season we run side by side and take other teams down with a furious 1-2 punch.

Tyler

Tyler is another of our great runners.  He has run a 16:49 5k, a 10:11 3200, and a 4:40 1600.  He used to (like me) have outrageous hair, but he got it cut and now he doesn't look like a homicidal maniac.  He will also likely be running with Ben and I, so we can upgrade that 1-2 punch to a 1-2-3 punch hopefully.

Mike

Mike has really turned his running is a positive direction, dropping his prs like no tomorrow.  He just needs to learn that he needs to not worry about little insignificant things so much. He currently has prs of 16:56 in the 5k, 10:25 in the 3200, 4:37 in the 1600, and 2:02 in the 800.

"Harris"

Harris has always been up there on the team, but he occasionally has unexpected, out of the blue, spectacular races, and he takes what he did right in that race and applies it to his future races.  Has a 5k pr of 17:33.

Matt

Matt really has turned himself into an awesome runner.  He took his sophomore pr of 18:45 and dropped it down to 17:27 his junior year.  He turned his work ethic in a positive direction the summer before his junior year, and I know he'll put in even more effort this summer.

Samer

Samer has mastered the art of using his mind to accomplish his goals, rather than just brute strength or "guts" as many great runners do.  I don't know where my running would be today without his mental guidance over these past few years.   His 5k pr is 17:45, and thats just the beginning of his recovering from an injury.  I'm sure Samer has a lot more, as far as times are concerned, to be expected from him.

Greg

I've run with greg since my 8th grade year, and he is a kid that always works his absolute hardest.  He excells on those long and treacherous runs, such as Hell's Hollow, a 13 miler we do with some seriously gigantic hills that take 3-4 minutes to get to the top of.  His 5k pr is 17:49.

Dan

Dan started running distance his sohomore year, and from that moment he has steadily gotten faster and faster, now with a 5k pr of 18:07.  Dan's partner in crime, or in this case running, seems to me Kendig.  They always compete in races, and while they get under each other's skin from time to time, they respect each other.  Dan really has a good chance to exceed expectations this year, and i think he will.

"Kendig"

Kendig is one of those people who just works for what he wants.  He has a near unbeatable determination to push himself to his limits, and isn't happy with anything less than success.  He will be starting his senior year with a pr under 19 (18:53), and I'd bet if he keeps up his work ethic, he can finish under 18, or even better perhaps.

Kyle

Kyle is the fastest freshman that has run for mentor in a long time.  With a 5k pr or 18:20 so far, he beat my freshman pr by 20 seconds, ben's by 15 and tyler's by 10.  He really knew who to run with as soon as the season started, and he improved from it.  He now just needs to take the mental leap that i know so well to push himself into a 7th spot on varsity.
