Today we ran the same 16 mile course as we have been.  At first, i felt really physically tired and mentally tired from running less than 12 hours ago.  The first 3 or so miles were just me in a sort of dase not really focusing on anything besides how much I would probably struggle with the run. I even had to turn off the setting on my watch that tells me our pace and distance because i couldn't stop looking at it and dreading the run.  Eventually we turned onto Jackson, and the run was silent because most everyone else was feeling just as tired as i was.  Eventually, around 5 miles in, i broke the silence and said "The silence is only making this run like 5 times more terrible..." and somehow that sparked conversation within the group, but it died and regrew throughout the run.  Right about the halfway point, I realized, "hey, i don't feel like crap anymore!" and the rest of the run was fun after that.  We didn't hit any crazy fast paces during the run.  When we got to the morton salt mine we were under 7, and the last half mile we were under 7 minute pace, but other than that we went slow, and even when the pace did increase i felt great, my breathing didn't really ever start to labor in the slightest.  I ran this run with Bill tyler ben harris greg dan kendig molinar Kristen kyle kenny ryan and Jared.
